Shooting days: March 11th – 15th
From Monday till Friday we will be hitting and photographing ‘The Chateau’ from every possible angle.
Sunrise and sunset sessions, helis and octocopter sessions as well as multiple setups are all part of the schedule.
Contest day: March 16th
The Freeski Joust Tournament – BIG AIR
On Saturday march 16th all the Queens will compete against each other in the equivalent of a freeski jousting tournament; the battle royale BIG AIR competition. The athletes show their skills on a 24m floating kicker, which gives them all the airtime they need to show the world exactly how far female freeskiing has come.
15 riders will throw down their best tricks in the qualifying jam session. The top 5 athletes will advance to the finals, where they can show 3 more tricks. The winner will be the girl with the two highest scoring and most unique tricks. With victory comes the unofficial title of being “Queen of the world”.
We want YOU in Serfaus to cheer as loud as you can!!!
Timetable Contest Day 16th March:
* 10.00 – 11.00 Training
* 11.00 – 12.15 Qualification, Jam Session Kicker
* 12.15 – 13.00 Lunch break
* 13.00 – 13.30 Training Finals
* 13.30 – 14.30 Super Finals
Foto Joust Tournament
Throughout the four days the invited photographers will be trying to get their best shots in different categories:
* Best action photo
* Best black&white photo
* Best group-shot
* Best lifestyle/off-snow
The girls will also be competing in a “Rider’s Photo Contest“.
Each rider has to capture her craziest, funniest or scariest moment from the event on her one-way-camera.
After the event YOU CAN VOTE for the best picture online and crown the winner!
Film Competition
Four invited filmers will team up with 3-4 riders of the Nine Queens and stick together for the week. By Saturday afternoon they have to submit an edit of the girls week. The girls and a judging team will pick the best video of the week, looking not only for action but also lifestyle and creativity. Editing, choice of music, mix of content, different angles, and catching the girls’ vibes are being analyzed carefully! You can check out the clips on our channel after the event.
